Bob is a licensed psychologist, Biofeedback Certification International Alliance Senior Fellow, educator, consultant, Somatic Experiencing Practitioner, and is board certified in biofeedback and previously in pain management. He has worked in the field of psychology as a rehabilitation counselor, then professor of psychology for 15 years and founder in 1974 of one of the first college biofeedback programs; then in private practice as a psychologist, biofeedback specialist and leader, sport psychology professor, consultant, and international presenter on special findings about the heart, breath, gratitude and love. Holistic health care integrated with the medical field is his dedication, having also been an aeromedic in the military.
A former board member and Insurance and Legislative chair of the Association for Applied Psychophysiology and Biofeedback, Bob has given briefings to members of Congress and national decision makers, and was awarded two distinguished service awards for service in biofeedback. He trains therapists, coaches, and individuals, teaches the benefits and techniques for obtaining optimal patterns of heart rhythm and breath, and teaches the HeartMath program and uses of their research, techniques, and heart rate biofeedback instrument and games. Bobs motto is OPT for the BEST, which is Optimal Performance Training for the Body, Emotions, Spirit, and Thoughts. He is the father of four and grandfather of three and lives with wife Dorothy in Boulder, Colorado.
