Fully Alive Treatment Program – Integrative Holistic Medical Treatment (IHMT)* for any chronic condition or dis-ease – physical, emotional, and/or spiritual – utilizing the services of one or more FAM practitioners.
IHMT is the art and science of healing that addresses care of the whole person – body, mind, and spirit. IHMT integrates conventional and highly therapeutic complementary modalities to treat, prevent, and often cure a wide variety of chronic conditions. The focus is on addressing the multiple factors contributing to causing the dis-ease, restoring balance to the whole person, and allowing the body to heal itself. The components of IHMT include: nutritional, exercise, environmental, behavioral, social, and spiritual medicine; along with functional, energy, botanical, homeopathic, manual, traditional Chinese, and Ayurvedic medicine. Whenever appropriate, lab testing and on occasion pharmaceutical drugs are used. Drs. Ivker and Nelson each apply IHMT to treating chronic dis-ease.
To begin the FAM Treatment Program we ask that you make an initial 1-hour appointment with Dr. Ivker. He will review your medical history and the forms you’ve filled out prior to this first session, provide an orientation to the holistic treatment program, make recommendations for your first steps, and either continue working with you or refer you to another FAM practitioner with greater expertise in treating your specific condition.
We ask you to make a minimum 90-day commitment to your individualized program to have the best chance of creating the outcomes you want. Frequency of visits will depend on your condition and the lab testing, treatments, and lifestyle support you require. At 90 days we re-evaluate together what treatments to continue, change, or discontinue.
If you are pleased with your progress we encourage you to continue with your treatment for as long as you wish, choosing the practitioner(s) and treatments you believe have been most helpful. You will be able to measure your progress by clarifying your goals of treatment at the outset, maintaining a weekly Symptom Chart, and completing the Fully Alive Questionnaire as you begin, and again at 3, 6, and 12 months. The fee for the FAM Treatment Program depends upon which practitioner(s) you’re seeing and the frequency of your visits. Although we do not participate with any health insurance plans, our physicians are willing to fill out an insurance form for you to submit your office visits and lab testing to your insurance company for reimbursement. Cost of recommended dietary supplements and health products vary according to your unique condition.
